Hey there! Welcome to Travel Tuesday, where we link up posts discussing anything travel! Today, my post is very close to my heart. It’s a continuation in my Togo missions trip series. You can read more about my adventure in Africa in these posts: Traveling Tips when Flying Overseas and Togo Ministry. Today’s post will be all about the beautiful Togolese people!
New here?! Start with this post! |
So, as you may have guessed from the title, this is a post all about the beautiful children I met during my time in Togo. We didn’t stay in one spot long, but connections with these kiddos were instant. They loved the camera, and loved laughing and playing with us! As I mentioned in my ministry post, we did a lot of teacher seminars, where the first day we would teach the teachers, and the next day, we’d show them what our method looks like by holding a children’s service. We also got to hang out with some of the kids, which was so much fun too! All of these pictures were taken by myself or a member of our missions team.
Look at those faces! They are precious!
I get teary-eyed looking through these pictures, because of how much my heart is for children like these!
This was when we did one of the teacher seminars. Some of the kids sneaked in on the side of the church to watch!
LOVE
They loved the cameras, and being able to see themselves in them!
This was a kids choir of the church we were in! Also, notice all the fun banners! We saw these kinds of decorations in several of the churches we went to!
“Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.”” Matthew 19:14
This is what I desired for this trip; to get a picture of me surrounded by all these beautiful children! It was such a blessing to be able to meet them and get to know them a little bit. I’m so grateful that God has put a heart for missions inside of me, and I can’t wait to see how that will be walked out in the future!
