Sorry I’ve been MIA this week! Oh the CrAzY days of summer!! This week a whole lotta my mom’s side of the fam is in town, meaning 12 kids, 3 of my mom’s 5 siblings, and their spouses. So there has been a nonstop flow of craziness since Wednesday! Just to give you a taste:
Some of the cousins on the first day in the pool! |
Cousin Water Fight! |
We were going to see a movie, but forgot it was a Friday night, and it was all sold out! So we went to ColdStone instead! |
Yesterday we basically spent the whole day at a lake near Omaha! I finally got my beach that I was wanting in my July Currently! It was so much fun, but I got SOOOOOOOO sunburnt! My entire shoulder/back/neck/head area is bright red. not so fun. But it was worth it!
Today the last of the family left, and I am ABSOLUTELY EXHAUSTED. It was a crazy fun week, and now I’m ready for some relaxation!
I’m finally posting about my Made It Monday adventures! As always, I’m linking up with Tara at 4th Grade Frolics for:
This week I made a Kleenex box planter! My inspiration:
creme de la craft |
My version:
I decided to paste comics on it and stick it in my classroom reading corner! All you need is your newspaper (comics section), an empty tissue box, modge podge, and a foam brush! Click on the inspiration photo above to get a great tutorial! I love to bring the outdoors into my classroom! To add the flowers, fill 3 styrofoam cups with water, place them into the planter, and add flowers! Here are more views of my finished product:
Look for another post tomorrow with my Monday Made It: Culinary Style!!!

My giveaway ends tomorrow night! Click the image to enter it and spread the word!
