Hey everyone! Happy Sunday, and welcome to another round of Sunday Social! This week the questions are all about blogging, so I thought I would join in on the fun!
1. What is the name of your blog?
The name of my blog is The Gypsy Teacher- as I hope to teach and travel the world!
2. What do you love most about blogging?
I love being able to share my feelings, journal my life, and meet people all over the world, who become near and dear friends!
3. Why did you start blogging?
As a personal journal, to document my life, as I graduated college and started out in the “real world”.
4. What is something you’d want to tell someone just starting out in the blog world?
Don’t be afraid to be yourself, and try everything out at least once! That’s really how I continue to grow as a blogger. The first post is always scary. As is the first link-up, or the first ad space you purchase. But as you continue in this adventure, you learn and continue to make it how you want it to be! Also, don’t be shy! Comment, email, link up, sign up for swaps, and of course HAVE FUN!
5. Biggest blogging learning experience you’ve had?
How to make my blog the most readable, yet personable. It’s a real balance between content and passion, and organization and clean!
6. What are three blogs you love?
This is HARD, as I have so many blogs I love. I’d say three blogs that I ALWAYS look for in my feed/read daily would be:
A Beautiful Mess is a go-to for all things fashion, home, DIY, and recipes. Basically anything!
Sunny with a Chance of Sprinkles has become a new favorite. I especially love Chelsea’s post “5 Reasons I Might Hate Your Blog“. Definitely a must read!
And then I have to include a teacher blog! Ladybug’s Teacher Files is a blog I discovered a couple summers ago, before I even had a blog myself! It was the summer of my jaw surgery, and I was BORED. Kristin’s blog was one of the first teacher blogs I ever read, and immediately fell in love! She has AMAZING products for the classroom, and she is an ESL teacher, which I concentrated on in college! I am always browsing her blog for more amazing ideas! All teachers need to check her out!
