Hey everyone! I hope you had a relaxing weekend! We got our first “real” snow on Sunday, and it was a winter wonderland! I’m still hoping for a short winter and a long spring, because though I love the first snow, and a white Christmas, I’m already ready for warmer weather! Haha! Anyways, though it is already the ninth, I thought I would link up with Farley today for her monthly currently!
Sunday morning at church our worship team mixed a few Christmas carols and songs into worship, and I loved every minute of it! Also, Saturday, our music at work got fixed, so I’m in full Christmas music mode, and love it so much! Some of my favorite artists are Michael Buble and Josh Groban.
Vanilla Chai Tea has been my JAM lately! I love Chai, but sometimes it’s a little spicy for my taste. The vanilla softens it up just enough, that it is the perfect mix! I’ll add some Spiced Latte Coffeemate in for a special treat!
Though I’ve gotten a good chunk of my shopping done, I still have several people to buy for, including my immediate family! It’s been hard to think of good gifts for them!
I have SO much to do this week to prepare for Christmas, and my little blog series coming up, that I would love to not have to come in to work for my call-in tomorrow. Crossing my fingers!!
My refrigerator is looking mighty empty; so I need to fix that ASAP!
My favorite tradition is something my mom started for us a few years ago. She read this book called The Christmas Jar, talking about how this family came up with the idea to save up all of their loose change in a big mason-like jar throughout the year, and anonymously leave it to someone who needs it most a few days before Christmas. So for the past several years, our family has done that. We usually add in some gift cards and bigger bills, the book, and some baked goods, and “ding-dong-ditch” it one the person’s front porch. I have so many family memories, and I just love thinking about how the person would feel opening up the door to this, to help their family out at Christmas. I will definitely continue this tradition with my own family later in life!
What is your favorite holiday tradition?

I love the idea of the Christmas jar! I have two children, and we have taught them the idea of giving all year long, but what a great way to brighten someone's day!
Found you through Farley. Hope you'll come check out my blog as well!
