Last month Influenster sent me another Vox Box of goodies, and I loved it! I received the Violet Vox Box compliments of Influenster, and purple is my favorite color, so it was a match made in beauty heaven! I’ve been sharing my thoughts through social media the past few weeks, and I wanted to do a full review for you here!
Here is my unboxing of the #VioletVoxBox:
1. Montagne Jeunesse (I still don’t know how to pronounce it :)!) Red Earth Clay Spa Fabric Face Mask
Before this Vox Box, I had never heard of a fabric face mask. I was confused by the packaging too. The mask was very interesting though! Basically, it’s a cut-out of fabric of a face that looks like where you usually apply face masks. So, once you unfold your mask and figure out how to put it on your face, you look like this…
Isn’t THAT lovely…(not!). Haha! The mask is the fabric that’s been soaked and sitting in the Red Earth Clay Spa formula. So you spread it on your face, and let it sit for 10-15 minutes.
What I like about this product is that it is not quite as messy as some other masks I’ve tried. It also says that it is a deep-cleansing mask, which I can definitely tell. I had a big pimple where my nose meets my cheek and it sped up the process of that pimple, and cleaned it out.
What I’m not a huge fan of with this product is the size of the mask. It’s a “one size fits most” mask, but I have a big head and a big face. So I usually like to have my mask come down by my neck as well, which this mask couldn’t do. I also really like when I can get the mask deeper into my skin, but I felt like this mask could only really sit on top, because of the fabric.
So overall, this is a good quality mask, but not something I will probably buy again, due to what I like to get out of my masks. But it was definitely good to try something new and different!
2. Goody Athletique Adjustable Yoga Wicking Headband
This headband is great! I love the neutral color, and the fabric feels like one of those dri-fit shirts! The band is thicker in the front to keep flyaways at bay. The ends are Velcro, so I can fit it exactly to my head, without it being too tight and falling off. That is my FAVORITE part, because I have a big head, and most headbands don’t work for me. But this one is perfect!
I’ve been using my headband to keep my hair out of my face when I’m washing my face and putting my makeup on, and I’m excited to sport it at the gym as well! This would definitely be a re-purchase if I lost or broke this one!
3. Not Your Mother’s Clean Freak Refreshing Dry Shampoo
This Dry Shampoo by Not Your Mothers is so great! It gets rid of oils and makes my hair look nice and voluminous! Most dry shampoos make my hair feel worse after using them, but this one makes it feel better!
I love how the formula is light and doesn’t weigh my hair down. When using the dry shampoo, my hair is easier to work with! It’s a great product that I will be repurchasing!
4. Sally Hansen Triple Shine Nail Polish
I’m loving this nail polish! I received the color called Sparks Fly, which is a gorgeous blue with layers and different sizes of GLITTER! It is SO pretty on, and I love how you can build up a couple of coats for a semi-opaque look and an almost 3D effect with the glitter!
The only thing I’m not a fan of is that it claims to have extra long lasting power on your nails, but my nails started chipping just a day or two after I applied the nail polish. But I can deal with that because of the great quality of glitter! I get compliments on the polish all the time, and it was perfect for the holidays! The Triple Shine line has 29 shades, so there’s one for everyone! This polish would also look fantastic as a top coat to an opaque polish too!
5. SOYJOY Dark Chocolate Cherry Bar
I hadn’t tried a SOYJOY bar before this experience, and I have mixed feelings. On one hand, I love how healthy it is! It’s all natural, low calorie, gluten-free, and has real cherries! I also love how small they are, perfect for an on-the-go snack! It also did curb my chocolate craving, which is impressive! I also love the lower price, as most other health snack bars like this are more expensive!
But I really didn’t love the taste. I’m not a huge chocolate/cherry combination fan in the first place, but I had high hopes. I think I may like one of their other flavors better, but this one wasn’t my favorite. I won’t be buying this flavor again, but I might try the Banana or Coconut Mango flavors!
All in all, I loved this #VioletVoxBox! The products are high-quality, and it had a range of fun things to try! Thank you Influenster, for the complimentary Vox Box in exchange for my review!
