I usually don’t do weekend recap posts, but this weekend was FANTASTIC. But not in the expected way. It was fantastic because it was, what I call, a staycation. My family was planning on heading up to Colorado for Labor Day weekend, but we ended up canceling our trip. I was NOT happy…I love to travel, and only had one weekend vacation this summer. Also, I had taken off work, and ALL my commitments. So when my dad broke the news, I was so frustrated.
I never thought it would be EXACTLY what I needed. I was able to truly relax, sleep in, and spend some time with my family. I was also able to go to a cookout with my church, and we had another family over for dinner last night. It was the perfect weekend to collect myself for the year, and unwind! Sometimes you don’t need to vacate, you just need to stay and relax!!
