Happy Friday! I hope you have a favorite beverage in hand and are sitting down for coffee with me today!
If we were having coffee, I would share:
~ that I am SO excited to start baking and cooking yummy Fall delights with apple and pumpkin flavors! I’ve been pinning like a madwoman and I’m ready to eat all things autumn!
some favorites are here, here, and here.
~ I finally found a water bottle I feel like I can use for a while. It’s been a long time coming! I had been using a generic one that I got for free at a college event, so I’m excited to have one I actually like! I’m a weirdo when it comes to things like that. My water bottles have to have at least 24 ounces, and I really like the ones with a straw. Also, they have to have a good seal so I can take it wherever and not worry about it spilling or getting stuff in my backpack wet. My ideal beverage holder would be one of those cute mason jar tumblers with the handle and straw, but that’s not going to work for me right now. So this is the best I found! I also LOVE the colors– and I got it at WALMART for under $6! SCORE!
~ I tried a couple methods this week to curl my hair- and they both worked! But the first one, rag rolling my hair, worked way too well! I did several layers of curls, instead of just sticking to one, like the tutorial did, and my hair looked like a bad perm or a poodle! It was CRAZY curled! So I made a messy bun and will try the rag rolling again next week, but not quite so many curls! LOL!
My second method worked so well! I used my 1 inch barrel curling iron, and followed this tutorial, and I had wonderful, natural curls that were perfect!

~ My aunt and uncle took me out to dinner the other night so we could just hang out and catch up! We went to Charleston’s, and it was so much fun! AND my mom offered to watch their adorable little boy, Jude, so we got to have some adult conversation, and it was a great night! I’m so blessed to have amazing family!
My night out look, with the second curl method from above! I love getting dressed up 🙂 |
~I won a little contest at work last week, and got to pick out two small candles to take home with me! I ended up deciding on Wednesday, and it was just my blessing, because we got a shipment of small Flannel candles that we hadn’t had in store yet! BTW, love the Flannel scent! And I have a fun little post coming up on all my recommendations for Fall Bath and Body Works scents!
~ I know I’m late to the party, but I’m LOVING working out to Katy Perry’s song Roar! Oh my goodness, it’s been on repeat this week! And I actually started a Pandora station based on that song, and it’s been so great to motivate me this week.
What would you tell me if we were having coffee? What tunes have you been jamming out to? What are your favorite scents or recipes for autumn? Any crazy hair stories? I’d love to hear from you!
