Summertime is known for get-togethers, whether it is a neighborhood block party, a family dinner, or a big shindig. I’m all for parties, but sometimes it gets a little tiring trying to cook or bake something to bring to EVERYTHING. Well, today’s recipe is the perfect party dessert, because it a CLASSIC with a bit of a twist! It also is one of those that you probably have everything you need in your pantry. Isn’t that nice?!
(Original Recipe VIA)
You will need:
1 Box Brownie Mix (I prefer the Betty Crocker Triple Chunk!)
1 1/2 sticks butter
Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips
White Choco Chips
Chopped Nuts (I used pecans)
Flaked Coconut
1 can Sweetened Condensed Milk
Step 1: Preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Melt butter in microwave.
Step 2: Dump the DRY brownie mix into the bottom of a 13×9 inch pan. Then dump in the melted butter.
Step 3: Mix until dry mixture is dissolved and there is a good consistency. It may be a bit oily, but that’s ok. Then, press into the bottom of the pan, evening it out.
Step 4: Add the yumminess! I did not put specific amounts of the chocolate chips, coconut, and nuts because you can decide how much you want. I just sprinkle to my heart’s content! Layer each item on top of the others: chocolate chips, coconut, and nuts.
Step 5: Drizzle the can of sweetened condensed milk evenly over top. Leave about a 1/4 inch from each side.
Step 6: Bake for about 20-25 minutes, until the edges are bubbly.
Enjoy!
Any go-to party foods that you use? Or do you bring something store-bought?
